My favourite Purchases of 2024!
I am so excited to share my favourite purchases of 2024! I will admit that I might have a bit of a shopping addiction but I also have never bought something just because it was viral — which means that I can promise that these are truly my favourite purchases of the year! All of the items on the list are things that I use on a daily or regular basis. These picks have truly “changed my life” — I know that’s a bit dramatic but I can’t really find the words to describe how much I love them!
Yeti 40oz Rambler
I have a love-hate relationship with drinking water (it’s weird, I know). But my HUGE pretty and pink cup makes me want to drink more water. It keeps water at the perfect temperature and there’s something about the thicker straw that makes drinking water much more satisfying!
Nespresso Nomad Tumbler
Okay, quick confession — I actually bought one in 2023 and LOVED it so much that I decided to buy a second one. The best part of the Nomad Tumbler (other than the pretty colours) is the fact that it is 100% leakproof! I feel like everyone has bought a cup that is advertised as leakproof and it leaks — but not this one! And I promise that I will be adding more to my collection.
Chesona Magnetic Keyboard Case for iPad Pro
I was *this* close to buying the Apple Magic Keyboard for my iPad before I found this keyboard! It looks the exact same for a quarter of the price! I bought it just before I was starting my summer job at the camp and didn’t really want to buy a $500 iPad case just in case. This keyboard case is still in good condition and works perfectly fine! I bought it back in April and I still have not yet needed to charge it (it came with 75% battery and it's now at 44%) so it’s safe to say that the battery is AMAZING!
Lululemon All Night Festival Bag
I was on the hunt for an everyday purse that would hold my iPad mini! I already have a Lululemon belt bag and the camera purse but I just wanted something a bit bigger. The Lululemon All Night Festival bag holds so much including my iPad Mini AND my Kindle — at the same time — plus all my essentials that I need (wallet, keys, AirPods, portable charger, hand cream, lip balm, etc.)
Kindle Basic
One of my goals for 2024 was to read more so I bought a Kindle basic. And let me tell you! It was a great purchase! It makes reading so much easier and more enjoyable. In my old apartment, I didn’t have the best lighting situation in my bedroom so it was hard to read before bed but since the Kindle is back-lit it makes reading from bed so much easier!
Beis Mini Weekender
Over the last four months of the year, I spent a lot of time travelling to Toronto and the cottage and decided that it was finally time to update my travel bags — also I have been wanting this bag for a couple of years and I could FINALLY justify the purchase! The mini weekender holds a lot and I love that all of the Beis bags are able to sit on top of a suitcase which makes traveling much easier.
E11ement Hypochlorous Acid
Toward the end of the year, I got a really bad breakout on my face that took two months before it started to clear up. But I’ve been on the hunt for the right skincare products for my skin. I was looking at the Tower 28 hypochlorous acid spray but I was not paying $38 for a 120ml bottle of a product that I didn’t know if I was going to like. The E11ement bottle that I bought is 240ml for $18 and often is on sale. Originally I bought it to test it out before buying the Tower 28 version but now I think that I am going to stick to this one!
L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
I have been on the hunt for a thick hand cream for the winter because my hands are always dry. I tried many different hand creams and my most recent purchase — L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream — has by far been my favourite! It is a thicker hand cream, TikTok as coined it as “cream cheese textured,” but it is perfect, especially for the winter!
Sony ZV-1F
In August I decided that I was FINALLY going to start posting consistently on YouTube and bought a new camera (I dropped my Canon G7X in the spring). The Sony ZV-1F is the perfect camera for someone who is just starting out on YouTube. It’s a great quality camera a bit and is on the cheaper side.
Ugg Tasmans
I have to admit that I actually bought two pairs of the Ugg Tasmans this year sort of by accident. I bought my first pair because I was looking for some shoes to leave in the condo and use as condo shoes. The second pair I bought because I badly burnt the top of my foot (big second-degree burn) and I couldn’t put any of my shoes on my foot I wore my slippers for a day before realizing that it was more serious than I thought it was. Unfortunately, I was in Ottawa and the Tasmans were in Toronto and I ended up buying a second pair because I knew they were comfortable and wouldn’t hurt my foot.
