Things I am Loving in March 2026

We are almost halfway into March and I’ve been starting to think of some of my current favourite things. A mix of objects and habits that I am loving so far!

My willow knitting basket

I got back into knitting in November and then decided I wanted to take things up a notch and get a basket for knitting. My mom found this one and gave it to me and I love it! I am currently knitting my first sweater and I love the look of the yarn that I am using for it in the basket!

Morning Pinterest scrolls

I started a new job! I am working for the founder of a luxury skincare company helping her with her social media (I am going to start going social media for her brand too). But I’ve started to replace my morning scroll on TikTok with a scrolling on Pinterest! Getting inspiration for her content, my content and also just life in general.

Small crochet projects with cotton yarn

Last fall I decided to learn how to crochet, I made a large granny square that I turned into a sleeve for my Kindle. A few days ago I picked up a crochet hook for the first time since then and started crocheting a bandana headband. I’ve also been loving using cotton yarn. I’ve been wanting to start using nicer fibres for my knitting (and crochet) and cotton is both a natural fibre but also still on the more affordable-end for these smaller projects.

Creating mind maps to brainstorm new projects and ideas

I love using the app FreeForm on my iPad to brainstorm different projects and ideas! I’ve been using it a lot for my new job to plan out content ideas. I’m also using it to plan out my spring garden (stay tuned!) and also a small bedroom makeover that I am wanting to do in the fall when I am back in the city.

Playing the daily crossword everyday

I decided to resubscribe to the New York Times games and I have the goal of playing the puzzles everyday. So far i’ve been successful in playing Wordle, Connections, The Mini Crossword and The Midi Crossword everyday since subscribing. I still need to get into playing the big crossword puzzle but i’ve been pretty good at playing it on the weekend.

Starting my morning with a cup of green tea

My newest habit that I have been building recently is starting my day with a cup of green tea instead of coffee. I still love my morning cup of coffee (don’t get me wrong) but I’ve pushed it later in the morning, either with breakfast or after breakfast. Green tea is still caffeinated but it’s much gentler and I also think that it helps with digestion (but I might be wrong).
