What to put in your Analogue bag

An analogue bag is a collection of mostly screen free activities (or analogue activities) to do instead of going on your phone. It’s said that to get rid of a bad habit you need to replace it with a new one. The analogue bag is designed to help you replace mindless scrolling with hobbies that you enjoy.

What’s in my analogue bin

I put together an analogue bin instead of a bag because I had this clear bin sitting empty in my closet. I also started this with a few things that I already have but there are a couple things I want to get down the road.

  • Knitting project I am currently knitting the Tromsø hoodie by Sisu Knitwear! Then I want to knit my first sweater (probably the Step by step sweater)

  • Colouring book and markers I actually put two books one with less detail and one with more detail. Different options depending on my mood.

  • Cryptic Crossword book I think puzzle books are the perfect addition to an analogue bag! I also have a word search book but I keep that in my purse and a Minute Cryptic book that floats around the condo.

  • A Book or two another classic addition. I also have two books; The Martha Manual for something fun to slop through. And On Writing Well because I know I need to improve my writing skills.

  • My Journal I update my journal every few days. I keep it in my analogue bin so its easily accessible when I have some spare time

A few other things i keep in my analogue bin

  • Pens and highlighters to annotate my books or to do my crosswords

  • Lip balm and hand cream are always some essentials

  • Hair ties another essential
