My Reading List | Spring & Summer 2025

I am not the biggest reader but there is something about the spring and summer that makes me want to read and I typically read a book every week or so. Despite that I did still set the goal of reading 15 books in 2025 — andI have yet to finish the first one. But now that it’s spring and I am no longer a student I have been reading a lot more — and I am close to finishing my first book of 2025!

My current read is Happy Place by Emily Henry. I did start reading it at the end of December and (in April) I am still reading it. BUT I am very close to the end. Now that I have time during the day and am not having to do any reading for school, I have started to find reading fun again! And I have been reading because I can! Not because I have to.

As for the rest of the books on my reading list:

  • High Tide Club by Mary Kay Andrews

  • Unlikely Story by Ali Rosen

  • The Fall Risk by Abbey Jimenez

  • Beach Read by Emily Henry

  • Meet Me By the Lake by Carley Fortune

  • Just for the Summer by Abbey Jimenez

  • This Summer will be Different by Carley Fortune

  • Every Summer After by Carley Fortune

  • Book Lovers by Emily Henry

  • Funny Story by Emily Henry

  • Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry (new release!)

  • One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune (new release!)

  • The ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas

A few things you may have noticed / some questions…

  • Yes, I am reading books by the same few authors — I am staying in my comfort zone for now. After this list is complete I will branch out a bit but for now, comfort zone.

  • Most of these books were popular on BookTok a while back. Yes! I am a slow reader! I bought hard copies of some of these books when they were popular and never got around to reading them lol. The books that I don’t already own a hard copy of I will be purchasing on my kindle to save a few bucks.

  • Most of these books are summer themed and that is because I read more in the summer than any other season.

  • How am I going to keep myself accountable? Great question! I have an instagram account @bymarywootton that I have created to document my hobbies! I will be posting reviews and updates there!
