Quebec City Recap

To celebrate my sister and I finishing up school and our degrees, my parents took us on a family trip to Quebec City. I’ve recapped all of the activities and restaurants that we ate at. I wanted to make this post a bit of a travel guide if you are going to Quebec City and are looking for things to do.

 

Quebec City Activities:

Note: these are in Québec City and area. We did a mix of things and explored all around.

  • Shopping in Old Quebec

  • Driving La Route De La Nouvelle France

  • Hike Montmorency falls

  • Spa Des Neige, a Nordic spa experience

  • Tour of Sainte Anne De Beaupré

  • Plains of Abraham museum

  • Boily Sugar Bush, sugar bush tour

  • Tour of the Chateau Frontenac

Note: these restaurants are in Québec City and area. We did our excursions then found a place to eat near by. Also we stayed in a condo so we only got one meal out and ate the rest back at the accommodations.

  • L’Omalette — 66 Rue Saint-Louis, Québec, QC (Also known as Cafe de Paris)

    • Nouvelle France / Quebecois style food, upscale french cafe

  • Auberge La Goéliche — 22 Rue Quai, Sainte-Pétronille, QC, This was on Île D’Orleans

    • French bistro right on the coast of the Saint Lawrence River

  • Les Frère De La Côte — 1129 Rue Saint-Jean, Québec, QC

    • Quebecois pub

  • Bonus: if you are driving towards Ottawa from Quebec (or vice versa) and are driving Vankleek Hill, you should stop in at The One Eleven Main Street Eatery, it is a really cute cafe with a great selection of sandwiches and baked goods!

 

Shopping

note: Old Quebec has a ton of great souvenir shops with the classics — t-shirts, sweaters, mugs, maple products, etc.

  • Boutique Mary’s Popcorn, Popcorn shop — 56 Côte de la Montagne, Québec, QC
